A Serene Garden Filled with Love and Golden Light
This story is about Alan and Eydie, a lovely couple visiting Japan. Alan reached out to me long before their trip, sharing that he planned to propose during their vacation. After seeing my portfolio, he immediately trusted me to help him capture this once in a lifetime moment. During our discussions, I learned that they both loved Japan’s natural scenery and the warm glow of sunset, so I recommended a beautiful garden that perfectly matched their vision.
We began the session in the late afternoon. The park was peaceful, surrounded by soft greenery and touched by the golden light of the setting sun. The gentle autumn breeze moved through the trees, carrying a quiet sense of calm. As we walked through the garden, sunlight illuminated the branches, turning the leaves into shades of amber and gold. Alan and Eydie seemed completely at ease relaxed, sharing gentle smiles, and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere.
When we reached a small bridge, I guided them through a few natural poses. Eydie turned slightly, and in that moment, Alan knelt down and opened a small ring box. Her expression shifting from disbelief to joy. Of course, she said yes. It was a simple yet touching scene, and I felt grateful to capture it quietly through my lens.
Afterward, we continued exploring the park, capturing soft, candid moments filled with emotion and connection. The reflection of the sunset on the water created a cinematic scene, the kind of light that makes everything feel timeless. The warmth of the evening wrapped around them, blending beautifully with the calm energy of the garden. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we ended the session near a traditional orange gate, adding a touch of Japan’s iconic charm to close their story.
As a photographer, I felt grateful to witness and capture this tender chapter of their journey. Wishing Alan and Eydie a lifetime filled with love, peace, and many more golden sunsets together.
