Romantic Moments Under the Lantern Glow


This is the story of Ellie and Tanner in Japan, they choose me to capture their story in Kyoto. Instead of the usual daylight strolls or tourist spots, they chose to embrace the city’s quiet beauty at night, capturing their love story beneath Kyoto’s gentle city lights. The session began at Pontocho Alley, a historic, narrow, and atmospheric pedestrian street renowned for its traditional restaurants, bars, and lively nightlife.

This location very enchanting in the night, especially when lanterns illuminate the wooden buildings with a soft golden glow. We paused at several spots along the alley, where the warm light wrapped Ellie and Tanner in an intimate mood, perfectly suited for a slow evening stroll.

Japan night session feels not complete without a playful stop at the vending machines, an iconic symbol of modern Japanese culture. The neon glow contrasted beautifully against the warm tones of the night, creating a perfect blend of urban charm and quiet intimacy. The night ended with Ellie and Tanner enjoying the autumn evening breeze. Its not just a photo session, but a moment to truly enjoy each other’s presence. They danced softly under the city lights, with the glowing streets as their romantic backdrop. It was a simple night, yet beautifully captured in every frame.
