Timeless Memories of Evening Glow
For those visiting Japan and wishing to experience something more intimate, a night photoshoot offers a truly different atmosphere. That’s exactly what Jan and her partner wanted to capture their memories in Kyoto with a touch of night charm. They reached out to me to booking couple session and agreed with my recommended locations while also request vintage style edit to give the photos a timeless, nostalgic look.
The session began after sun down in a lively area filled with traditional restaurants building and luminous lanterns. We started by taking photos beneath the lantern lights, where the soft, warm light created a romantic and cinematic mood. I captured their candid moments gentle hugs, shared laughter, and playful gestures that showed their cheerful chemistry. A short walk away, we found a quiet narrow alley the perfect spot for more intimate portraits. They looked into each other’s eyes and shared a gentle kiss, a sincere moment of love that I caught through my lens.
Continuing the session, we captured Kyoto’s night street aesthetic at several traditional shop fronts with their luminous signs as a vibrant backdrop. Of course, no Japan session would be complete without a photo beside a vending machine. At night, the vending machine’s glow reflected softly on their faces, adding a playful yet iconic element to the scene.
We wrapped up the evening , take closing portraits with city light as the backdrop that create cinematic ambience. The autumn night breeze felt calm, but their warmth and smiles made the atmosphere even more beautiful. It wasn’t just a photoshoot, it was a moment of connection and cherished memories.
