A Beautiful Surprise Surrounded by Serene Nature
This is the story of Joel and Daily, a couple who chose Japan to celebrate their time together during the spring season. When Joel was looking for a photographer to document their trip, he felt connected to my photography style. During the booking process, he also shared his plan to propose during the photoshoot. It was a meaningful trust, to be part of documenting such an special moment. It was a bright spring morning when they arrived at a quiet park surrounded by soft, natural scenery. They began the session like a normal couple photoshoot, keeping everything natural so Daily wouldn’t suspect anything. As they walked across a small bridge, surrounded by greenery, Joel suddenly stopped. He went down on one knee and took out a ring box. Daily looked surprised, what she thought was just a photoshoot turned into something much more meaningful. Their family approached them, offering congratulations. It became a shared moment, filled with love and togetherness.
After the proposal, they continued with a couple session while exploring the area. The spring breeze felt relaxing and they took a moment by the lake, simply enjoying the view. Their connection unfolded naturally the way they held hands, small touches, and gently kisses with nature framing the scene. A short walk away, they passed rows of trees with small blooming flowers. They shared a simple dance under the trees, enjoying a quiet sense of joy and connection. Later, they moved closer to the cherry blossoms, where soft pink tones added a subtle layer of spring to their photos.
As the sunlight became warmer, it created a natural glow throughout the location. They walked together into a more shaded area. Through the pine branches, I captured a quiet moment where Joel gently kissed Daily on the forehead, a simple gesture that reflected their deep love and appreciation.
To close the session, they moved into a bamboo area, where the light filtered softly through the tall stems, creating a calm and balanced setting. They also took a few group photos with their family before finishing. It was a short session, but one that held a lot of meaning. I’m glad I could capture their short getaway into timeless memories. It’s hoped that when they look back at these photos, they remember not just the proposal, but the feeling of that beautiful spring morning in Kyoto.
