Why You're Asking the Right Person
As a long-time Kyoto resident who handles hundreds of secret proposals every year, I know every location, scenario, and crowd pattern inside out.
Most inquiries I receive come from travelers who only know Kyoto from social media. They have an ideal location in mind but aren't sure if it actually works in real life. Before you lock in a spot, you have to ask yourself three critical questions:
- Is it actually good for photography, or is it only good for sightseeing? 📸
- Will it be completely overwhelmed by tourist crowds during your moment? 👥
- Does the venue strictly forbid professional photography or tripods? 🛑

Place on internet looks good but you can not use it, only good for sightseeing

Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and Fushimi Inari are the two most visited locations in Kyoto.
To get clean shots without crowds of tourists in the background, we have to start shooting as early as 7:00 AM. Even then, an entirely empty path is never 100% guaranteed.
If you still want to risk proposing at these famous spots during busy hours, that is completely up to you! If crowds block our view during your actual proposal, we can always recreate the moment with a fake pose right afterward to ensure you get a clean portrait. However, if you want your real, raw reaction to be intimate and uninterrupted, I highly recommend letting me guide you to my favorite hidden, quiet nature spots instead!

OMG!! I never take picture like this again, even I remove it from my reccomendation list
Some places not allow photoshoot so be careful (ask me)
